We always try to find ways of spending quality time with family, what about running together. This unique idea of holding a famathon in a city which is known for its open spaces, green belts and clean surroundings, has come from a grocery store.
Be ready with your running shoes with your family on April 9 (Sunday) for a 3-km run for women and 5-km for men. There is a separate category of children too. The event being held by a leading grocery store, Modern Bazaar in Sector 22-B, Chandigarh, will start from the parking in Sector 22-B and finish at Sector 9, Chandigarh.
The registration is free, you can register through the QR code, at the ticketing site citywoofer.com or on the spot. City residents have given an overwhelming response with registrations crossing the 2,000 mark.
Gifts worth Rs 2 lakh would be given to the winners and the first 100 registrations will get free T-shirts. A social cause would be fulfilled as 2-3 heart surgeries of the needy and the poor would be funded for by the Modern Bazaar store at any of the government hospitals in Chandigarh.
