The Bhavan Vidyalaya New Chandigarh campus was inaugurated by Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, Banwarilal Purohit on April 15, 2023.
The event commenced with the unveiling of the school’s foundation stone by His Excellency, the Governor, thereby marking the beginning of the school’s journey.
Vineeta Arora, the Director (Education)-cum-Senior Principal, extended a formal welcome to the Chief Guest and other distinguished guests, and threw light on the school’s vision and mission.
The Secretary, Madhukar Malhotra addressed the gathering and walked them through the journey of the coming up of the school campus. He made a special mention of the support extended by GMADA and Omaxe, New Chandigarh to the school.
Speaking on the occasion, Lakhani outlined the rich heritage of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and its continued efforts in promoting Indian culture among the country’s youth.

He congratulated the school management for providing quality education to its students. He emphasised the role of teachers in nation-building, and urged the students to practice simple living and high thinking, based on Gandhian ideals.
