CLKA celebrates 75 years of Independence with 75 artists

Chandigarh: To celebrate the 75 years of Independence, Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi has exhibited a mega exhibition featuring 75 works of 75 artists from across the country at sector 17 underpass in Chandigarh.

As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, many senior and upcoming artists have displayed their artworks focusing on various aspects of independent India.

CLKAThe artists who are participating in the exhibition include Hussain Masood from Srinagar, Nabibakhsh Mansoori from Ahmedabad, Abdul Gaffar, from Nagpur, Anil Bodwal from Delhi, Anuradha Thakur from Pune, Archana Vishwakarma from Santiniketan, Calcutta, Adarsh Palandi, Damoh M.P. Among the artists from the Tricity are Viney Vadhera, Sandeep Joshi, Neenu Vij, Harmanpreet Singh and Pallavi Garg, two special artists, both post- graduated from the Government College of Art, who have also participated in the Art workshop.

While talking about the exhibition Bheem Malhotra, Chairman, CLKA said, “We are celebrating freedom in all its varied hues and the exhibition here features the different ideas, thoughts, sensibilities, and creativity of the 75 artists. Each work displayed and getting prepared here tells a story and CLKA is very honoured to organise this event in the month of our Independence. We invite all art lovers to be a part of this effort.

The exhibition will be on display till August 30, 2022.
