Since it is close to the Panjab University, Chandigarh, it is a haven for all college goers, hostellers and university students –handcrafted bags, jackets, home décor, decorative upholstery, etc.
Students easily buy dresses for farewell, college functions; latest trends in fashion clothing, all kind of denims, crop tops, tube tops, tank tops, jtceans, long coats, accessories, etc.
Sector-15 market usually opens around 11 AM and closes at 10 PM. If you are hungry after a day’s shopping, you get good Chinese food, spring rolls, ice-cream, vada pav, etc at pocket-friendly prices.
“Because it is in the open, it is less congested than sector 22 rehri market,” said one shopper. “My school DAV Sector 15 is just adjacent to the open rehri market, so its very easy for us to come to the market and buy the latest, seasonal clothes,” says Payal, a school-goer.
