Indus Valley Int’l Film Festival Beckons Cine Lovers, Budding Artistes

Chandigarh: City Beautiful Chandigarh will soon see many well-known names of the cine world with the fourth edition of the week-long Indus Valley International Film Festival (IVIFF) 2022 coming to town.
The inaugural ceremony of this borderless travelling film festival was held at Tagore Theatre on Tuesday.
In the coming days, a melange of directors, actors and casting directors – actors Rajat Kapoor, Rajit Kapur, Saurabh Shukla; directors like Anurag Basu, Madhur Bhandarkar; casting director Mukesh Chhabra, film maker Brahmanand Singh and producer Ketki Pandit among others, will arrive in Chandigarh to be a part of the fest.
Master classes from Bollywood’s famous casting director Mukesh Chhabra are going to be the centre of attraction for theatre artistes and budding actors who are waiting in the wings for a chance to showcase their talent to the world through different modes of entertainment like web series, short films, off track films, OTT, etc.

The festival will offer an open platform where makers can pitch their films, shows or web series and seek support. People from some top OTTs, studios and TV channels have agreed to participate in the film bazaar.
Supported by the Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation Limited (CITCO), the festival will be hosted at Piccadily Square and Chandigarh Club, apart from Tagore Theatre.
As many as 50 films will be screened from 15 countries including India, Bhutan, Canada, the US, Denmark, Australia, Italy, Iran, Serbia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal.
