Overview:
Malleswaram Heritage Walk is curated by Rustik Travel to explore the “old” Bangalore part of the city that is rich in its own unique heritage, culture and cuisine. Through this walk we explore one half of “Malgudi” and learn about many stories around it. And we will also explore the street art that we will be able to witness on the streets of Malleswaram, which in itself is a great subject for street photography.
Detailed Summary:
The one half of the popular fictitious town of Malgudi created by the renowned author RK Narayan, is Malleswaram, a North-West suburb of Bangalore.
It is one of the old localities of the city that still maintains its old Bengaluru charm. It has been the home to many famous celebrities such as Nobel laureate C.V. Raman, scientist Krishnaswamy Kasturirangan, badminton world champion Prakash Padukone and is daughter Deepika Padukone and many more.
The walk in this part of town is all about rediscovering what old Bangalore was all about, the various temples that adorn the area, their stories and rituals and the authentic food in various heritage cafes such as Central Tiffin Room (CTR) and Veena Stores.
